ROUND NORFOLK RELAY
Looking very good now for the Round Norfolk Relay.
Many thanks to those who came to the calling of the club to support the team in our first experience of the Round Norfolk Relay. Stephen Price & Brigitte Groves are currently sorting out logistics on the forum thread for this event. Still not too late to get involved or support UKnetrunner over the weekend of 20/21 September. If you'd like to get involved in any way:- e.g. timekeeper / reserve runner / driver - please let me know - e-mail me: uknetrunner@aol.com Alan Lacey Chairman - UKnetrunner.co.UK Running Club
ROUND NORFOLK RELAY - URGENT REQUEST TO MEMBERS !!!!
Unfortunately we have had a few people dropping out from the Round Norfolk Relay recently - or some that have not responded to requests for details of the stage they intend to do.
I mailed all club members recently to ask if they are able to take part in the event to support the club. If for some reason you did not get the mail and/or are interested in taking part, please contact me on: 07920 547871 to discuss or mail me at uknetrunner@aol.com - your support would be greatly welcomed. Without support of our members for this event we are in danger of having insufficient members of the team to take part - which will be a great disappointment to those who have committed themselves to the event and those who have put great efforts into organising the team to date. Please, please, please support your club - and if you have someone interested who is not yet a member of the club - introduce them !!! Many thanks Alan Alan Lacey - Club Chairman & Secretary UKnetrunner.
Ridgeway Relay
It's happened - UKnetrunner versus the Ridgeway Relay - and we had a great time. 33rd out of 39 - but then lots of other teams cheated by having 1 runner for each stage (and by being fitter and stronger than us).
A more detailed report to follow, but for now... Race reports in the forum Slideshow - stages 1-5 Slideshow - stages 6-10 And finally, big big big thanks to Heavyweight (David Kindred) and his long-suffering other half for all the work they did organising the event for us.
Ridgeway Relay - 15th June 2008
Places are still available in the UKnetrunner team in the Ridgeway Relay on 15th June 2008.
BUPA Manchester 10k - Places Available
I've had a message from Clare Kenny of Lancashire Wildlife Trust who has informed me of available places for the BUPA Manchester 10k, which is fully subscribed otherwise.
Clare says:- "We still have places available in this event and are now offering them at a reduced price for anyone who wishes to run on our behalf. I do request that you commit to raising funds on behalf of the Lancashire Wildlife Trust (at least sufficient to cover the cost of the place) We are registered with www.justgiving.com to support your online fundraising efforts and can also provide hard copy sponsor forms and literature about us. If you are interested, or know of anyone who is, please call me on direct dial 01772 317234." Please contact Clare/Lancashire Wildlife Trust if you are interested in a place and supporting the Trust.
