Events For March:6/3/2010:G3 series race 3: Matt *might* be back on the North Downs again for this, but there's an off-road mara the day after so perhaps not.. The Shakespeare Raceway 10K : First race of the year for Tony Tamburro in this 10K at Long Marston airfield near Stratford. This will provide an opportunity for some speed work in preparation for the Prague Half Marathon later in the month. 7/3/2010: Llanelli Waterside Half-Marathon: David Robertson going on a Jolly to Wales for the first time ever :o) Steyning Stinger Marathon: Matt's heading back to the South Downs for this hilly off-road marathon The Grizzly: Wendi returns yet again to the hills, bog, beach, Stairway to Heaven and then some !!! Rushcliffe 10k: The very popular 10k race is back this year at Rushcliffe Country Park in Ruddington on Sunday 7 March 2010. The race starts at 10.30am and will be chip timed for the first time. Nike MK Half Marathon: Charlotte Dutch is running in her first race of the year; the Milton Keynes Half 13/3/2010: Newcastle Park Run: Claire and friend go for a base line pace measurement 14/3/2010: Kilomathon - England: The world's 1st "Kilomathon" (Kil-om-a-thon) 26.2km from Nottingham to Derby. Steve Wilson looking forward to being part of history! Pricey looking forward to running home after being dropped off in Notts. Ian T makes it 3 from UKNR. Knowle Park 10k: First time local event for Neil R; hilly park run amongst the deer and parakeets Fradley 10k: Fast flat rural course ideal for PBs and fun runners. Dave O is desperate for a PB here and a good indicator of marathon form. mikeH has this one booked. Spen 20: DaveM's first attempt at this hilly (apparently) 20 mile event in prep for VLM 20/3/2010: Paris Eco-Trail 80km: Nick Dunk goes over the channel for his second 50 mile race in 3 weeks. The finish awaits after climbing the first floor of the Eiffel Tower! 21/3/2010: Lincoln 10k: David Robertson paying a very brief visit home to take part after missing out last year.... coughs and bugs rule it out being a fast one. Peopleton Scenic 6: MichaelC Another one through mud.........probably. mikeH a likely runner. Stafford Half: Dave O's second race of the year. How will his legs be after Fradley and will this be a race too close to the Blackpool marathon? How will he cope against two very fast friends? North Stainley 10k: Andy Smith is looking forwrd to this mixed terrain race round Lightwater Valley leisure park. Entry forms on Ripon Runners website. Reading Half : 5th year in a row for David K. Hope to get it right this time. 27/3/2010: Victoria Park Open 5: Graham Kirk's running his 'home' race for the first time - 5 miles through East London's gloriously flat Victoria Park 28/3/2010: Liverpool Half Marathon: Pricey returns for the fourth consecutive year and Matt's back for his second. Wilmslow Half Marathon: Steve Wilson "conveniently" visiting friends in the area & thought it would be rude not to enter Phillips Accounting Easter 5: University Of Warwick. Looks low key but interesting. mikeH. East Hull 20: DaveM's last race before tapering for VLM. Boring but flat apparently this one! |
