Welcome to UKnetrunner - the Affiliated Online Running Club

This is the online home of one of the few affiliated internet-based running clubs in the UK. Membership qualifies you to a £2 discount at most races in Britain.

As a club member, your running is guaranteed a place in history, as your results are logged in the members details, recent results, the club grand prix, hall of fame and age-graded league. Share your running memories via the club gallery and chat running with the rest of the club in the forum. It's a friendly supportive place for the running nut and the running novice alike.

Site Updates

There have been some exciting new additions to the site today. You now have private messaging between members of the main site (in addition to that on the forum) - if you're logged in there's a box on the top right, and there is also a "send private message" link on everyones info page.

We've also added a My Details link in the main menu on the left, which will take you directly to your personal page.

If you visit your personal page you will also notice that an "edit" button has appeared at the bottom next to add results. This allows you to change your personal details. Mostly it's a way for you to update the "About Me" section that appears next to your photo on the page.

Final UKnetrunner Flora London Marathon Place! Draw Result!

OK, GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS TIME!

Good news - I have now sorted out my pc problem!

Good news - the 5 people who wanted to be entered into the draw were in the draw.

Good news - Pete Stockdale - you are the winner of the third Uknetrunner place!!

Bad news - sorry other 4 entrants, better luck next time!

Good news - in case of any of the entrants not making the race, Helen Cross was second drawn from the draw so if any member needs to drop out and handover their entry (providing it happens by 9th January) then Helen will be the club substitute.

All the required documents will be sent to the lucky 3: Jayne, Matt & Pete this week.

Regards

Alan

E-Mail Access Problems

Due to me being unable to access e-mail currently, I am unable to send out vests or confirm recent memberships and I will be unable to hold the draw for the third UKnetrunner Flora London Marathon place until I can check my mailbox to ensure that no-one with the intention of entering the draw misses out.

Apologies to all new members wiating for membership numbers and kit, and those waiting for the result of the draw.

As soon as I can access my mail I will carry out all club activity & maintenance.

Hopefully Monday 24th November.

Regards

Alan

Flora London Marathon Places - April 2009

UKnetrunner has received 3 places for the 2009 Flora London Marathon.

In the club draw - 2 entrants - Jayne Chappell and Matt Dunn - were both picked out to land themselves club places in the London Marathon next year.

As Jayne and Matt were the ONLY ENTRANTS in the draw, the club still has 1 place left.

In this unprecedented position, the club draw will re-open to ALL MEMBERS WHO ENTERED THE FLM OFFICIAL DRAW AND WERE REJECTED (regardless of the date of joining the club)

This draw will close on 21st November and all members will be mailed directly by Brigitte Groves (Vice Chair) with further details of how to enter the extended draw.

Congratulations to Matt & Jayne!
