This table shows the number of points earned for each band of the UKnetrunner Grand Prix Points earned will depend on the handicap band of the member (based on 2005 best 10k time)and the band of the race result. 3 Points are also earned for a PB.
Example 1: Alan Lacey ran a 5k in 2005 in 21.05 - which was a pb. His handicap band is Band 12 (based on 2004 best 10k time) Points scored for this race = 3 Points (for getting a pb), +5 points for achieving his handicap Band +4 points for reaching band 11 +4 points for reaching band 10 Therefore total points for this race = 16.
Example 2: Laura Foster ran a 5k in 2005 in 25.37 - which was a pb. Her handicap is Band 12 (based on 2004 best 10k time) Points earned for this race = 3 Points (for getting a pb), +3 points for getting a time in band 17 (below Laura's handicap band) Therefore total points for this race = 6.
