 I started running back in 2001 when I decided to give up smoking. Have had a break from running due to work and family committments, but I am now back on the road and hoping to improve my fitness and performance. Prefer running over 5 or 10K distances. Favourite place to run is in and around Lyme Park in Cheshire.

Robin Hood Half/Full:
 Pete is doing the full and Zo is targetting the half as she completes her recovery from injury. Paul A doing his first half for nearly 10 years. Jon Hullis really looking forward to the half after not having raced much this year.
Blythe Valley 5K:
 MichaelC doing a 5K for the sake of the Grand Prix.

 UKnetrunner will be circumnavigating Norfolk for the third year.

BUPA Great North Run:
 David Robertson unable to resist the temptation of GNR number 6. Ann Hood uses 2009 deferred (as 6 months pregnant) entry an hopes to be getting close to PB fitness. Mark Hill doing his 2nd GNR & praying it's not as hot this year! Pete O doing this for the 1st time hoping the break in training will not impact too much! Becky Oliver's first attempt at a half marathon.
